Day 1
BIEL – MURTEN (via Ins - Sugiez) 40 km

The starting point is the tranquil and untouched southern shore of Lake Biel. From Ins the “Vegetable Path” will take you to Murten on the southeastern shore of the lake that shares its name. With its pretty arcades, cobbled streets and charming architecture, this exquisitely preserved medieval town is a must for any sightseer.

Day 2
MURTEN – ESTAVAYER 34 km (via Avenches /Payerne)

After a visit to Avenches and its Roman amphitheatre, you cross the valley of la Broye and its rolling countryside before arriving at Payerne. Take time out to visit the town’s 11th century abbey church before continuing on to Estavayer-le-Lac, a quaint medieval town on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel.
