Fancy a gentle walk, but still want stunning views and maybe even catch a glimpse of a beaver in the wild? Then this is the trail for you. Highlights include the medieval town of Morat, a stunning view of Lake Morat and the Jura mountains, with the majestic Alps on the horizon, not to mention the Beaver Trail.
 

This trail is sure to quench your thirst for knowledge and for the great outdoors. It is a fascinating voyage of discovery through the vineyards of Mont Vully – silent witnesses to thousands of years of Swiss history. It also offers stunning views of the Jura and Alps. Along the way, why not take a break and make use of one of the many designated barbecue areas.
 

Saturday 30th june 2012 - Culinaric promenade through the Vully wineyards
 

The promenade for gourmands on the Vully is a walk through the wineyards.
 

The famous Trail of St James to Santiago de Compostela crosses the Region of Freiburg.
 

Regional route n°71 of SwitzerlandMobility. The «Chemin des Trois-Lacs» trail leads along natural shorelines, through reed beds and into nature reserves which give information on sensitive topics.

Welcome to the largest vegetable garden of Switzerland. From the beginning of May until mid-October, you can discover over 60 varieties of vegetables growing in this region.
 

This fortified village, called an oppidum, dates from the Celtic period, about 124 BC.
 

A walk of about two hours on Mount Vully will take you back to the time of the First World War.
 

The Rotary bridge provides for cyclists, pedestrians, roller skaters and people in wheel chairs a means of crossing the Broye canal which joins Lake Murten to Lake Neuchatel.
 

 

A thematic walk through the vineyards of Vully, in both Fribourg and Vaud, helps you to understand the different stages involved in wine production.

The new connection to the way of St James "Basel-Jura-Region of Three Lakes" has been inaugurated on the 25th June 2011. From Basel the way leads via Sugiez, Murten, Münchenwiler, Merlach and Avenches, to continue until Payerne.
